I am learning from "How To" books.

by Tammy York
(Tolono, Il USA)

I used graphite pencils, ranging from 4h, to 8b to do this picture. I just looked at The Book's picture, and copied it. I cant remember which one it was, but I liked the subject so I felt compelled to try it. I have only been drawing for a very short time, and am still struggling to learn, but I am determined. I am even taking an intensive Drawing Class next month that I hope will help out a lot. I wish each and every one the very best at drawing. Tammy

Expression and contrast.
by: Nick

I like the expression on the woman's face. I think you've captured the eyes very well. You've also created good contrast by using the papers natural colour against the darks and mid tones of the drawing.

You're well on you way, Tammy. I'd be very interested to see how you progress in future drawings.
